The collection debuted at Felipe Ángeles International Airport

Mexican designer Victor Barragán's latest collection, "Quiet Luxury," debuted at Felipe Ángeles International Airport in Mexico during Paris Fashion Week.
The show served as a meditation on a myriad of themes: religion, violence, immigration, globalism, power, and consumerism. If that sounds overwhelming, that's precisely the point. The eclectic array of looks that graced the runway were designed to inundate and jolt your senses. This sensory overload was intentionally inflicted upon the audience, mirroring how religion, violence, and globalism are imposed on citizens of less affluent nations worldwide.
Adding to the spectacle, Barragán himself walked the runway dressed as Charles Manson. The show was unapologetically dystopian and aimed to shock—but at least it had a point of view.
One of our favorite TikTok fashion critics, Lyas, offered a compelling summary of the show's chaotic themes. Be sure to watch it before diving into the exclusive backstage photos below.
As you might anticipate, the backstage atmosphere was as wild as the runway itself. Photos capture models reveling in the moment, indulging in key bumps provided by their enigmatic leader, Victor/Charles M. But these images also offer a moment to absorb each look individually. Were these theatrics genuine, or merely a performance? That's for you to decide.
