Dear Reader,
Spanish fashion brand Palomo, hosted their show titled “Cruising in the Rose Garden” at the iconic Plaza Hotel in NYC on Saturday. The creative director Alejandro Gómez Palomo was inspired by the idea of cruising in nature. The designer delved into “the realm of discreet encounters to find inspiration in the duality of human desire. Humans have two sides, one more animalistic, blinded by carnal desire; and one more romantic, driven by nature and feminine sensuality.”
As the models walked the runway, they interacted with the audience, making eye contact, flirting and walking with sensuous movements to get the audience all hot and bothered.
The collection was created in collaboration with the Spanish accessories brand Bimba y Lola.
It was a beautiful collection, it started with head to toe white looks, then head to toe black looks, later on, red flower accents started to appear until we got to the red dresses and elaborate items covered in flowers. Lastly there was a Motomami moment with plenty of leather jackets worn over red silk dresses.
It had all the drama that we’ve come to expect from Palomo. It felt Spanish and gay!
Please enjoy a HUGE library of backstage photos from the presentation.
xoxo
