I bought flowers to write this text. I tried to find tulips or lilacs, but they are out of season. Instead, I brought home a bouquet of yellow craspedia from the grocery store. They looked fresh, surprisingly. I made several attempts at recreating some of the floral arrangements in Ed Baynard’s paintings and prints. It was simply impossible.
